Precise angle installation

No reading errors due to scales and vernier. No time-wasting due to arduous approximations of angle values. The advantage of the Felder degree index is that the stop is set and fixed without losing time or making reading errors. Highly precise index positions allow for the accurate production of polygons like 5.625º (32 sided), 11.25º
(16 sided) and 22.5º (8 sided). In addition, index positions at 15º, 20º, 25º, 30º, 35º, 40º and 45º can be used when working in slide-to-cut or push-to-cut mode. Every index position is equipped with a length compensator. The highly precise Felder degree index system is adjusted in the factory. Every index position also has individual fine adjustment. The index system, which integrates well into the machine design, increases its productivity to achieve unrivalled cost effectiveness.

Precision miter index system: accuracy in setting angles

The precision miter index system on the outrigger table allows you to freely select predrilled positioning stops in steps of 5°, but also at 22.5°, by means of the index locating pin at the telescopic stop from +45° to –45°.

The new FELDER 900 saw unit

The newly updated Felder unit made from cast iron offers performance, precision and efficiency while running smoothly:
- Cutting height 5¼” with a 15¾”(400 mm) saw blade
- Electronic angle adjustment with digital LED display
- Zero point tilt
- Oversized saw arbor with double bearing seats
- Maximum motor power transfer with the Poly-V belt
- 3-speed: 3500/4500/5500 rpm
- Optimal extraction with the completely enclosed, below table extraction system
- Dovetail guidance system for height adjustment
- A highly robust synthetic material located in the guidance track of the tilting brackets, ensures they run smoothly and maintenance free even under the most extreme conditions. The tilt guide segment runs without lubrication and is insensitive to dust.

to use a grooving cutter “Dado cutter”

It is also possible to use a grooving cutter “Dado cutter” with your Felder K 900 Sliding Table Saw.
Specially developed by Felder, the cutter simply melts wood away. Massive in size and performance enabling cuts from ¼“–¾“ (6.3–19.5 mm)

Scoring unit

For operation of the scoring unit there are two versions available: Classic or Automatic.

Classic: The height and lateral setting of the scoring blade is adjusted manually from the top of the saw unit table.

Automatic: Electric scoring sawblade height-adjustment is done easily with a switch.  When the scoring unit is switched on, the scoring blade rises to its pre-set position automatically. When the main blade is switched off, the scoring blade automatically sinks back under the table. This is first class comfort!

circular saw shaft

The saw arbor is enclosed in a massive cast iron housing. With the double bearing mounts, vibration free results are guaranteed. Power transfer from motor to sawblade is optimized through the use of a Poly-V belt.

Power Drive - Never crank a hand wheel again

With the “Power-Drive” package you will be able to accurately set the sawblade height with the turn of knob. Additionally the sawblade height position is clearly shown through a LED display screen.

“Digi-Drive” – it could not be any easier or accurate

With the “Digi-Drive” package you simply type in the required sawblade height and angle, press start and watch the sawblade adjust automatically. Naturally, settings can also be stored for future reference. When adjusting the tilt, the sawblade will remain at the pre-set height (automatic height compensation).

A Masterpiece of Engineering The ultimate in precision and guiding smoothness

This precision guiding system will accept maximum loads without compromising the smooth and accurate stroke of the sliding table. The X configuration of the roller bearings optimally distributes work-piece weight to all sides. With a roller bearing system the full width of the bearing is in contact with the guiding track. With no single point of contact between the bearing and the guiding track as found on conventional ball bearing systems, the roller bearing will never wear a groove into the guiding track.

Precision sliding table-Guiding system “X-Roll”.

“X-Roll”, making a difference:
- Extremely smooth and precise sliding action! With the roller-bearing system there is no single point of contact
between bearings and guiding track, maximizing precision over the lifetime of the machine.
- Clean, dust-free guide rails obtained by special wipers and brushes.
- Smooth movement of the sliding table ensured by hardened steel, ground-bearing tracks.
- 6-year-warranty

main operating switches on sliding table

On request we can equip your “900 series” with start buttons for the main and scoring blades located directly on the sliding table, how about that for convenience!

The heavy duty outrigger table

8 bearings ensure the integrated outrigger table with supporting arm has a smooth operation even with the maximum loading capacity. The workpiece roller at the end of the outrigger table guarantees easy loading of workpieces.

The telescopic crosscut fence

The 102” (2600 mm) long telescopic crosscut fence can be effortlessly adjusted from 90° to 45°. A miter scale on the outrigger table allows for accurate adjustments. On request we will fit your outrigger table with the precision miter pin locating system. Locate your miter angles accurately time and again!

Precise miter cuts

The crosscut fence is 43” (1100 mm) for crosscuts between +45° and –45°. The fence can be attached to the sliding table with out the use of tools. The positive stop provides you with the exact 90° position.

crosscut fence stops

The large crosscut fence stops are constructed in such a way that a small tongue on the stop fits perfectly into a groove on the fence. This means the crosscut fence stop remains firmly in place, especially useful when crosscutting pre-mitered workpieces.

Stop scale

The bevelled miter scale with hairline readout is visible from the operating area and thus allows exact reading of the required crosscut value.

Rip fence of the highest quality

A rip capacity of 31½” (800 mm) comes standard with the option of upgrading to 49¼” (1250 mm). The rip scale is easy to read and perfectly integrated into the machine body.

The rip fence is easily and smoothly adjustable, with a one-hand clamping mechanism.
The fine adjustment mechanism allows for precise measurements.
zoom
The aluminum rip fence can be adjusted along its axis to improve user comfort and safety when making repeated offcuts.
zoom
When working with narrow and thin cuts of wood with the saw blade tilted, the rip fence can be put in its lying position to improve operator comfort and avoid collision with the saw blade.
The rip fence can also be tilted underneath the table.

Your decision: Rip fence with electronic digital display

The integration of the electronic digital display on the rip fence allows for the reading of the cutting width to four thousandth of an inch. The display may be rotated up to 90° to suit the working position. Additional features like the adjustment of progressive measurements make your daily working life easier.
