The Felder 700 Series saw assembly is fully compatible with dado tooling. Thanks to removable flanges and table insert, the Felder designed, fully adjustable dado cutters can be used.

Precise angle installation

No reading errors due to scales and vernier. No time-wasting due to arduous approximations of angle values. The advantage of the Felder degree index is that the stop is set and fixed without losing time or making reading errors. Highly precise index positions allow for the accurate production of polygons like 5.625º (32 sided), 11.25º
(16 sided) and 22.5º (8 sided). In addition, index positions at 15º, 20º, 25º, 30º, 35º, 40º and 45º can be used when working in slide-to-cut or push-to-cut mode. Every index position is equipped with a length compensator. The highly precise Felder degree index system is adjusted in the factory. Every index position also has individual fine adjustment. The index system, which integrates well into the machine design, increases its productivity to achieve unrivalled cost effectiveness.

crosscut fence

The crosscut fence is 43” (1100 mm) for crosscuts between +45° and –45°. The fence can be attached to the sliding table with out the use of tools. The positive stop provides you with the exact 90° position.
The bevelled miter scale with hairline readout is visible from the operating area and thus allows exact reading of the required crosscut value.
The large crosscut fence stops are constructed in such a way that a small tongue on the stop fits perfectly into a groove on the fence. This means the crosscut fence stop remains firmly in place, especially useful when crosscutting pre-­mitered workpieces.

Electronic digital-­display

The electronic digital display, integrated in the rip fence, enables you to adjust with a precision to 1/1000 th of an inch. Optional

Precision miter index system: accuracy in setting angles

The precision miter index system on the outrigger table allows you to freely select predrilled positioning stops in steps of 5°, but also at 22.5°, by means of the index locating pin at the telescopic stop from +45° to –45°.

Precision sliding table – with the ­ “X-Roll” guiding system

The Felder precision sliding table has been designed to accept maximum loads while also remaining smooth running and accurate. The monoprofile of the sliding table and base guarantees maximum torsional strength at every temperature. Through the “X” positioning of the roller bearings the pressure load is optimally distributed to all sides. The “X-Roll” guiding system and the other numerous outstanding details will be patented to ensure their protection. So much precision and technology earns the right to the status of “World Class”.

High-Speed Router Spindle

The high speed router spindle is designed for router shaft diameters of Ø ¼” – ⅝”
(6–16 mm) and a speed of 15,000 rpm.

The tilting segment on the Felder 700 series has one small but important detail: it is completely free of lubrication!

All Felder shapers have standard equipment including a tilting shaper spindle 90°–45°. Due to the tilting shaper spindle, the range of applications and savings of tooling cost may be much higher than you have expected. Using the handwheel causes the whole shaper spindle unit to tilt to the desired angle easily and smoothly.

Precise tenons

Accurate tenons are much easier with the Felder “X-Roll” sliding table. This precision guiding system will accept maximum loads without compromising the smooth and accurate stroke of the sliding table. The “X” configuration of the roller bearings optimally distributes work-piece weight to all sides. With conventional sliding tables, ball bearings are used in the guiding system. A ball bearing system creates a singular point of contact between the bearings and the flat guiding tracks. The “singular point contact” will eventually wear grooves into the tracks and as a result, sideways play will develop in the sliding table. It is physically impossible for the “X-Roll” system (with roller bearing lineal contact) to wear grooves into the guiding tracks, hence the system will allways remain play-free and is backed with a 6 year
factory warranty.

The “240“ shaper fence

The ”240“ shaper fence is standard equipment on the shaper units. The shaper fence can accomodate tooling to a maximum of 9“
(230 mm) and has a micro-adjustment on the shaper fence outfeed side. The integrated dust extraction cowling allows for chip removal. The spindle table opening is 9“ (230 mm). This allows the spindle with the cutterhead attached to be lowered below the table in some cases.

MULTI fine adjustment system

The MULTI fine adjustment system allows quick adjustment of the work piece diameter, allowing parallel guidance of the shaper fence.
- Automatic repeat setting after removal of your fence

The rip fence

The rip capacity comes standard with 31” (800 mm) or optional 49” (1250 mm). The rip fence almost hovers over the table. The single handed quick clamping and fine adjusment systems ensure quick and accurate setting of the rip fence. The easy to read rip scale is perfectly intergrated into the saw table. The aluminum rip fence plate can be adjusted foward and back to optimise the feed of work pieces. When working with narrow and thin cuts of wood or with the saw blade tilted, it can be inverted and used in the lying position.
