Variable speed control
To optimize cutting speed for each job an optional Variable Speed Control (1500 to 11,000 rpm) is available.

Standard: Electronic spindle height setting
Accurate spindle height settings to .004” with the turn of a control switch. Fine adjustments are made at the push of a button. Spindle angle settings are carried out through a handwheel with digital
indicator.

The “quick change” spindle system
Integrated into your tilting Spindle-Moulder is the Felder “quick change” spindle system which enables spindle changes within
30 seconds, without the use of tools. Instead of changing cutter blocks, simply swap spindles. Your F 900 can accommodate different spindle diameters, with a particular highlight the ability to mount a high speed router spindle with 16,000 rpm.

16,000 rpm.

The FELDER Shaper spindle tilts rearward: This is an important safety feature for you when working with different sized workpieces!
The Felder rearward tilting spindle is the correct way for easy and safe operation:

Forward tilting of the Shaper can be dangerous and has serious handling disadvantages:

The precision “240” Shaper fence
The “240” Shaper fence is standard equipment. The Shaper fence can accomodate tooling to a maximum of 9” (230 mm) and has a fine adjustment system on the spindle fence outfeed side. The integrated dust extraction cowling allows for efficient chip removal.
The Shaper table opening is 12⅝” (320 mm), an advantage when panel-raising, as the Shaper tooling can be lowered under the table.

Hardened anodized aluminum fence plates
Hardened anodized aluminum fence plates are standard. Precise, fine adjustment on the removable shaper fence via a scale from –.4” to +1.38” (–10 to +35 mm).

dual dust extraction
The dual dust extraction for the shaper via the shaper fence and the chip collection bin under the cutterhead ensures clean and trouble free operation.

MULTI fine adjustment system
The MULTI fine adjustment system enables quick and precise adjustments to be made to the position of the shaper fence. This time saving feature reduces setup time and the number of test cuts that are required. The whole fence can also be removed and then returned to its exact position.

Shaper table opening: 12⅝” (320 mm)
The large table opening allows for maximum operator safety. With large dimensioned tenoning and panel raising tooling, the cutterblock can be conveniently positioned below the table.

Since their invention in 1969, Felder system table extensions have become a very common and useful choice for most Felder owners. Within seconds and without the use of tools you are able to increase the working surface of your Felder.

Precise Tenons.
Accurate tenons are much easier with the FELDER X-Roll sliding table. This precision guiding system will accept maximum loads without compromising the smooth and accurate stroke of the sliding table.
